The Voice of Children in Safeguarding: The Marist Child Protection Sessions System in the Province of L'Hermitage and the Early Detection System of Kanjo
A Talk by Raimon Novell Donat (Child Rights & Safeguarding Commissioner, Diktya Foundation / Marist Province of L’Hermitage)
About this Talk
The Diktya Foundation presents their rights-based approach. Diktya always aims to protect children's rights and provide tools for self-protection and appropriate institutional responses.
Breaking the Silence is a tutoring system with children designed to talk about their rights, analyse and understand safeguarding spaces, provide self-protection strategies, seek help when children are in a vulnerable situation, and request responses from private and public institutions.
The two fundamental pillars of the Diktya Foundation include an absolute priority in promoting and protecting children's rights, with a focus on children and their active participation at the core of all initiatives. Additionally, their work involves promoting, protecting, and supporting children's rights within a network of organisations.
For this reason, the Diktya Foundation collaborates with the Kanjo early protection system, which aims to create safe environments using objective data and emotional analytics, with children as the true protagonists.
Breaking the Silence of the Diktya Foundation and Kanjo with its emotional analysis are two complementary systems with the same goal, to provide children with a way to express whether they are in a safe or risky situation and to seek the best personal and institutional responses.
