Safeguarding children in the context of digital learning
A Talk by Cătălina Rață (Educational Programs Director & Child Safeguarding Focal Point, UiPath Foundation)
About this Talk
UiPath Foundation works to provide children living in poverty the context and the tools to develop the skills needed for a future shaped by technology. Our educational programs involve working directly with approximately 1200 children in Romania, and most of the interactions happen online. Since the start of our activity we have put safeguarding at the core of our planning and programming: we have developed rules for engagement online, we have created safe systems and spaces for children to be part of, and we have tried to develop their understanding of how to interact safely in the digital world. While sharing some of our practices regarding the implementation of the safeguarding policy, we also open a conversation on how to build safe and equal learning spaces for children in the context of artificial intelligence and rapid technological developments.
